    A metal used in pure form or alloyed with other elements (such as tin, lead and zinc) to produce a range of tools, weapons and decorative items. Arabian copper ore deposits were exploited discontinuously from the Bronze Age onwards, with the raw metal traded widely.

    Two species of cotton circulated in the Arabian Peninsula during Antiquity: Gossypium arboreum and G. herbaceum. Discoveries of archaeological seeds and textiles and some textual mentions probably indicate the extensive spread of cotton cultivation at the turn of the era.
