The website https://ancientarabia.huma-num.fr is an output of the research project Maparabia, supported by the French National Research Agency (Project ANR-18-CE27-0015, PI: J. Schiettecatte). Its exclusive scope is to provide instruments for scholarly research: a digital atlas, a gazetteer and a dictionary of ancient Arabia.

Materials on this website, unless otherwise stated, are protected by laws of copyright and intellectual property. Some of these contents are intellectual property of the CNRS (France) and the CNR (Italy). Other are property of third parties that have authorized their publication. This is particularly the case for dictionary entries.

Yet, the research instruments available on this site have been developed with the concern to be as open as possible. They have been developed using free software and making use of open-source technologies.
